| Installation of a silver recovery system |
| Silver Recovery System will use steel wool and resin beads to strip the silver from the wastewater, used fiver, used deveoper, and adjust the pH in order for all of these materials to be discharged into the sewer. |

| Silver Recovery for All Outfalls |
| Some of the 30 plus Spent Fixer outfalls are already being recovered by UT Southwestern but some are collected and shipped out as wastes. EH&S will collect all spent fixer and move it to a central location for recovery. EH&S has found a vendor that will do the recovery for free using an Electorlytic Unit followed by Ion Exchange. No more spent fixer will be shipped off campus as hazardous waste. |
