Region 6 P2 Roundtable

The Next P2 Roundtable will be August 2-5, 2010 in DFW (Irving) Texas

The event will feature leaders from federal, state and local governments, community leaders, and universiites to discuss promoting environmental quality through pollution prevention.

The Regopm 6 Pollution Prevention (P2) Roundtable is composed of environmental professionals who wish to promote Pollution Prevention (P2, also known as source reduction) as the preferred method for dealing with environmental issues.

The roundtable operates in the geographic area of EPA’s Region 6 which includes New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana.  The roundtable also works with pueblos and tribal communities within these states, along with border programs and tribal authorities which extend beyond these state boundaries.   Although not formally affiliated with the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable , many of the members are regular and active participants.

The Roundtable meets twice each year to share information, develop pollution prevention strategies, recognize businesses and industry for excellence in pollution prevention, and coordinate grant-funded projects. Roundtable teleconferences are held the third thursday of the month announcements are made on the regional list serve.

Roundtable membership is open to individuals with an interest in pollution prevention.
