  • Pollution prevention workshops save money for businesses through sustainability - The University of Texas at Arlington is partnering with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to offer two pollution prevention (P2) workshops Oct. 21-22 at the Automation and Robotics Research Institute in Fort Worth, and Nov. 10-11 at the University of Houston Hilton. The workshops will help businesses save money by reducing waste and environmental impacts. Staff from the TCEQ and the Zero Waste Network will work with attending companies to create effective pollution prevention plans in compliance with the Texas Waste Reduction Policy Act (Sep 2010)

  • Carrollton Wins 2010 Pretreatment Leadership Award - Local governments are helping businesses become more sustainable, save money, and prevent discharges of harmful chemicals into our water supply. In the Southwest, a consortium of innovative programs known as the Region 6 Pretreatment Association recognized the City of Carrollton, Texas for its leadership in promoting sustainability through cost effective measures.
