Description:

Six filter baghouses and four electrostatic precipitators are currently being installed to control particulate dust emissions in the glass bead forming area. The dust emissions are captured and returned to the glass bead forming area as usable raw product.

P2 Application:

Since most of the particulate dust is less than 10 microns, the most innovative equipment and technology was purchased. The filter baghouse will provide approximately 98% capture efficiency and the electrostatic precipitators approximately 95% capture efficiency. The baghouse uses the latest in Goretex filter bag technology and baghouse equipment innovation.

Environmental Benefits:

The system removes 150 tons (300,000 pounds) of fine particulates from the environment, which are then recycled.
