Description:

Dean Chem is an electroplating facility. The company performs hard chromium, zinc oxide, and black oxide coating. Water is used to rinse parts that are removed from the hard chrome bath. Dean Chem collects rain water from the shop roof which is furnished with gutters and uses the water in the chrome rinsing process. The company has a functioning water conservation plan in place.

The company has been using the shop roof to collect rain water that is used in chrome rinsing process. Although the total volume of collected rain water is not great, the effort is a vivid example of resources conservation.
