Description:

Hydraulic fluid is used in injection molding machines at 3M. A hydraulic fluid filtration system was devised by 3M Research Blvd. technicians in order to conserve hydraulic fluid. A filtration cart was purchased from Roil Gard at a cost of $1200. The filtration system allows the extended use of hydraulic fluid that would otherwise require disposal.

Environmental Benefits:

The filtration system allows the extended use of hydraulic fluid that would otherwise require disposal. It is estimated that 500 gallons of hydraulic fluid are recycled annually.
