Description:

JAMAK Fabrication, Inc is the exclusive distributor/ manufacturer of Triple Edge wiper blades. Other products produced at the facility include automotive gaskets, appliance gaskets, wiper blades, and medical tubing. The process at the facility includes injection molding, mixing, and extrusion. Internally trained teams of employees were developed to work on Environmental programs. The Wattwatchers group was formed on Oct. 31, 2000 for the purpose of reducing utility costs.

Developed focused shutdown and start up procedures which insures unnecessary equipment and lighting were not on unless needed. Installed capacitor banks to improve power factor Installed a high efficiency air compressor Installed a system to monitor and control power usage which allows Jamak to shed HVAC load during periods of high peak demand.

Environmental Benefits:

ELECTRICITY-Base year October 1999-Sept 2000 2001 vs. 2000 base yr, Jamak saw a reduction of 1,748,065 kilowatt hrs, a savings of 13.9% for $136,501.Sales in 2001 was down 9% from base year 2000. 2002 vs. 2000 base yr, Jamak saw a reduction of 2,726,176 kilowatt hours, a savings of 21.6% for $175,936. Sales in 2002 were up 3.1% from base year 2000.
