Description:

Goal was to minimize electroplating rinse water.

P2 Application:

Hired a full-time engineer, an excellent resource for environmental and general cost/benefit analysis, purchased SAMSCO Evaporator, built new facility to streamline production process including a built-in containment area and trial of new EP solution formula.

  • Comments: Using 2000 costs, the cost of disposal per gallon is $.57. The 80% projected reduction in volume will not only reduce the cost spent on disposal and transportation. It will save money by reducing overall employee hours on managing the disposals and paperwork resulting in $40,000 of savings.
