CFATS Workshop

"What Happens after Top-Screen? Living with the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards."

Is your facility in compliance with CFATS? Some 5-8,000 industrial facilities in the U.S. will soon find out if they are going to be regulated under the newly adopted Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), promulgated by the US Department of Homeland Security in late 2007. Many of these facilities will face new security requirements as a result.

This workshop will provide you with practical knowledge about the new CFATS regulation, and how to integrate your plant's security assistance and planning -- mandated for many facilities under these new regulations -- with your process safety and regulatory compliance efforts. Hosted by The University of Texas at Arlington's Division for Enterprise Development and in cooperation with ChemAlliance, The Texas Chemical Council, and the East Harris County Manufacturers Association, come to this one-day workshop and find out how your facility can prepare to comply with CFATS.

Presenters: Lawrence M. Stanton, Acting Director, Infrastructure Security Compliance Division, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; James W. Conrad, Jr., Principal, Conrad Law & Policy Counsel; H. M. Leith, Senior Principal Consultant, AcuTech Consulting Group; and Scott Butner, Director, ChemAlliance; Moderated by Thomas Vinson, Division for Enterprise Development.
